Q: What does rent include?

A: For your convenience, rent is very inclusive. High-speed Internet, DVR, HD cable, water, sewer, trash, and gas are included in your installment payments.

Q: How do I get to campus?

A: The Marq is conveniently located on the Marquette University campus. We are also on the #30 bus route and the Marquette University Limo Service route, so it’s easy to get around.

Q: Is parking available?

A: Parking is available on-site in our covered, heated garage. Your comfort is important to us, so at The Marq you don’t have to suffer through the cold winter waiting for your car to warm up!

Q: What floor plans are available?

A: The Marq has a variety of fully furnished floor plans, including studio and one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom plans in both loft and suite styles.

Q: What is an individual lease?

A: An individual lease is a “per bed” lease. You sign a lease for a bed in the apartment and share common areas with roommates. This allows you to live with roommates without having to worry whether they’re going to pay on time!

Q: How do you assign roommates?

A: If you’re looking for a roommate, fill out the roommate-matching questionnaire online when you sign your lease. We will use that information to match you to your future roommate. If you already have a roommate selected, we can help with that, too!

Q: Do you have a maintenance staff?

A: Yes, we have maintenance available during office hours as well as a 24-hour emergency maintenance service.

Q: Do staff live on-site?

A: Yes, residence hall directors are full-time professional staff members who have offices and live in each building. They help develop the sense of community you'll experience from the day you move in and provide support during your residency at The Marq.

Q: How do I pay my bill?

A: All rent payments can be made through the Marquette University Bursar's office by following this link. Other payments such as utilities, parking and pet rent can be paid through the Resident Portal.

Q: Where can I do my laundry?

A: The Loft building offers one large laundry room on the main floor of the building. The Suites building has a laundry room on each floor.

Q: Are there study areas?

A: The Lofts building offers one study room per floor that are available to use by all residents 24/7.

Q: I know the front doors to the apartments have locks, but Do the individual bedrooms lock?

A: Yes, each bedroom door has a separate lock and key so residents can secure their room when away.

Q: Is a TV included in the apartment?

A: A 42” flat-panel mounted HDTV is in the living room of each unit.

Q: Do you allow subleasing?

A: Yes, as long as it is a full-time Marquette student. We recommend that you also speak with your roommates and enlist their help to find a new roommate. The earlier you begin your search for a sublettor, the greater your chances of finding one.
